Biography
Behnam Hani was born in 1984 in a family of Art ,science and culture in Tehran. He started learning music from his childhood and familarise himself with different instrument until the age of 10 when he seriously started playing tar and setar with the support of his family especially his brother.
To achieve this monumental goal he followed the structural guidance of Jalal Zolfoonoon, the unrivalled eminence in playing setar and also has been greatly influenced by other mentors such as Ali Bakhtiari, Ali Goorchian, to a point that he started to think about teaching .
Behnam’s extensive solo and in band performances both at home and abroad have hugely contributed to the capabilities; he also has the experience of theatre live performances as an added bonus to his credit.
In 2006 he moved Kazakhestan to teach traditional instruments tar and setar .He faced a good reception from the young people.
After qualifying and obtaining a degree in Russian language from university of Kazyntu its cooperation with Russia and Kazakhestan and Kyrgyzstan continuity conservatories
Behnam founded “Mantra”in 2012 and introduced to the world his extraordinary and scientific fusion genre of Iranian-western music.
Also added to his credit is the incredible solo performance (Tar) in the commemoration ceremony of master Jalil Shahnaz.
“Colour” his first official album hit the market in 2014. He has also released a few singles
